Piezoelectric LiNbO3 Substrate 128Y Cut with Orientation Flat or Notch
Lithium Niobate (LiNbO3) is colorless transparent crystal. It belongs to tripartite system, the melting point is 1253°C, the density is 4.64 g/cm3, Mohs hardness is 5, refractive index no=2.286 ne=2.203 at 632.8nm. It is ferroelectric crystal, Curie point 1150°C. With lithium carbonate and niobium pentaoxide as raw materials, the crystal is grown in a platinum crucible by the lifting method. LiNbO3 is a kind of material with piezoelectric, ferroelectric, electro-optic, nonlinear optics, thermoelectricity and other properties. It can also be used as holographic recording medium material.
